Senior Citizen Van Service Schedule and Rules
Van Schedule
- Operating Days: Monday, Tuesday, Friday
- Operating Hours: 8:30 A.M. – 3:15 P.M.
- Phone: 330-978-7167 to schedule or call for a ride home.
Appointment Guidelines
- Schedule appointments directly with the driver one day ahead and before 2:00 P.M.
- Same-day ride requests are not accepted.
- Be ready one hour before your scheduled appointment time.
Cancellation Policy
- If unable to attend your appointment, notify the van driver as soon as possible to cancel.
Return Trips
- Call 330-978-7167 when ready to leave your appointment for your return ride.
- Pickup locations must match the drop-off point. No changes to pickup locations unless scheduled.
Service Coverage
- Eligibility: Passengers must be 60 years or older.
- Destinations: Transports available to all Youngstown Hospitals and surrounding doctors.
- Restricted Areas: No service to Niles (except the mall), Boardman, Austintown, or Warren.
Weekly Stops
- Giant Eagle: Tuesday, approximately 8:30 A.M.
- Mall: Monday, approximately 9:00–9:30 A.M., with a 12:00 P.M. return.
- Walmart: Tuesday, same schedule as Giant Eagle.
Inclement Weather Policy
- If Girard City Schools are closed due to weather, the van will not operate.
- If schools have a 2-hour delay, the van will run on its regular schedule.
Trip Limitations
- Riders are limited to two trips per day to ensure accommodation for everyone.
